Rapleaf API Overview

Learn about your users with the Rapleaf API. Companies, developers, and mashup hackers have all used the Rapleaf API to integrate portable identity into their sites.

Ping Rapleaf with an email address and receive information for that person:

  • Social Network / E-Commerce Memberships (Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, Hi5, and dozens more)
  • Demographics (Name, Age, Location, Gender, Occupation, more)
  • Known Friends (how many friends a person has)
  • Activity (when was the first and last time a person was known to be active on the web)

Person API

  • Get information on a person in real-time. Information includes demographics (Name, Age, Location, Gender, Occupation, more), social network memberships, and more.
  • REST-based interface.

Address Book API

  • Access address book information on web mail providers like gmail, yahoo, aol, and hotmail.
  • Free for unlimited use.
  • NOTE: Rapleaf does not sell, rent, or lease email addresses, and will not send messages to addresses acquired via the API. Please see the Privacy Policy for further details.
  • Client libraries: Developed by Mimi Sun, these libraries will make it even easier for you to integrate the Address Book functionality into your PHP and Perl applications.
